Island Town deletes its x account against user data, misinformation problems

View Royal disconnected its X -Oblkov recording because of anxiety about “misinformation” and how social media company manages users.

View Royal decided to use Bluesky – The X -like platform, created by the former Twitter CEO Jack Dori, to contact his inhabitants instead.

“Bluesky is safer than x for data because it uses a decentralized network that provides users with more control over their information, while X is a centralized platform that collects and monetize users data,” Tobias said.

The city will also continue to publish important information on its web site and platform engaging Engage.Viewroyal.ca. It still launches a Facebook page.

“The open character X provides a flat basis for misinformation (s) of polarization, which leads to calls in a constructive conversation,” Tobias said. “I would ask all of us to really consider what we consume and use regularly.”
