Belfast protest organizer protested a family car-Irish News

The man who organized a rally against racism in Western Belfasta, his car crashed in hours.

The Beechmount rally was in response to an attack on a family house in the area, with the word “local” lubricated on the house and paint thrown on the wall.

Sean Dogerti, one of the members of the Beechmount (BRC) collective team, told “Irish News of intimidation.

“About 4pm on Wednesday, a person threatened my life when I walked the street. It somehow disconnected me in a certain way, for example, why it is happening now, but a long campaign.

“Later that night, after a successful community rally, which unites people as a team to resist intimidation and fear, I was attacked.

“About 3 am I woke up to two loud chubs and found this individual individual dressed in black, breaking the last back window of my family car, which we have only not long ago returned. Every window was done and insurance will not fix it.

“It puts great pressure on my family, we already live in the mouth of poverty, and it’s wrong at all levels.”

Mr Dogerti said that this is the last in a number of attempts to intimidate the community, and although he and his family will not be disgusting for him, he would not stop serving the community.

“My work in the community will not stop. I’m here to work for everyone, ”he said.

“The community’s response was brilliant. My work seems to come back to me in some way because there was serious support, and there are people who really look at us as a lighthouse in this field.

“Even with that, I am not angry. It’s just a screaming intimidation, and it won’t work. I would like to see that common sense is responsible for them, and in the future, maybe we can work together.

“Everything I call for is responsible to leave me alone, and if there is a wise head, talk to these people.”



Condemning people “foolishly” before making a profit of MLA Gerry Carroll, said people deserve to “live in peace and safety” in their own homes.

“Sean is doing important and valuable work in the local community, including an anti-rally rally this week on a bookmale Street,” he said.

“I condemn this senseless act of intimidation and violence.

“Western Belfasta people deserve life in peace and safety.”

Police are investigating the incident and challenging witnesses or those who have video materials who could help the investigation.
