Rosenfeld’s Deli sets tentative opening date

Get your teeth into it: The city of Salisbury is set to welcome the newest face to its ever-growing business scene this fall.

Rosenfeld’s Jewish Delicatessen has announced a tentative grand opening date of November 8, 2024 for its brand new location at 923 Mount Hermon Road. The deli is located in the same shopping center as Goin’ Nuts Café, which closed permanently on June 4, 2024.

Lease agreement for a new deli premises which will be led by two longtime employees, Gena Bratcher and Kasia Haddaway was signed in July. In addition, the deli received approval from Brittney Ames of the Wicomico County Health Department on Oct. 29.

ROSENSFELD’S DELI CLOSING IN OCEAN CITY: Rosenfeld’s Jewish Deli Reflects on the Past 11 Years in Ocean City and a Bright Future Ahead

The traditional kosher deli’s long-awaited move to Salisbury comes after its original location in the popular resort town of Ocean City, Maryland, closed for good on September 24, 2024 after 11 successful years in business.

The deli also has two additional locations in Rehoboth Beach and South Bethany, Delaware.

The interior of the building will feature a colorful display of the deli’s playful logo with the words “Peace, Love, Pastrami,” as well as a combination of Yiddish words, famous Jews, and framed photos of Israel. birthplace of the Jewish people and more

“I just wanted another location so we could spread some happiness,” Warren Rosenfeld, founder of Rosenfeld’s Jewish Delicatessen, previously told Delmarva Now.

“So please share this with all your friends, please enjoy a delicious Jewish meal, and thank you for welcoming us into your beautiful community,” the deli said in an Oct. 29 Facebook post. “We look forward to serving you!”
