Twelve ERC employees received unauthorized increase in large salary in 2023

The Guyana government had reason to write a “strong” letter to the Ethnic Relations Commission (ERC) due to an unauthorized salary increase in 2023 to 12 employees.

This was stated by the Supply Committee during yesterday’s budget budget.

Last year, 12 employees did not receive a salary.

The Minister of Parliament and Management of Gel Teikseira said the supply committee that, although unauthorized, the Government advised the commission about what to do with the temporary one.
