Caffeine has become an integral part of the daily life of teenagers, with many popular caffeine drinks have become a common indulgence for the younger generation. However, new instructions published by healthy eating studies have emphasized that adolescents should not have caffeine at all.
“Drinks with caffeine and other stimulants are not recommended for children and adolescents,” read the instructions by adding “healthcare professionals recommend that children and teenagers avoid all caffeine”, read the instructions.
A set of health care recommendations for children aged five to 18 years of age, created by a group of experts at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietaryology, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association.
Recently published instructions noted that although caffeine may be organized in adolescence, this age group has no clarity on safe levels. Many studies have reported a negative impact on sleep quality, mental health, dietary structures and cardiovascular health among this age group.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, adolescents (aged 12-18) should limit the consumption of caffeine to 100 milligrams per day. This is equivalent to one cup of coffee, a pair of tea cups or several soda jars.
Researchers from Bryshiya University College in Ontario, Canada found that 44.6% of teenagers who participated in the study drank caffeine drinks once a week, 11.4% consumed drinks with caffeine, and only 4, only 4, 8% never consumed drinks contains caffeine.
