Fake collectors of a scam of residents with landfills

Several residents of Baranghai Panthal in Dagupan have been a victim of a scam, where unauthorized persons collect garbage fees through counterfeit receipts.

Victims from the village of D-or or the village of Pag-Ash and the Trinidad unit paid the amounts from P50 to P300, just to find out that the receipts they received were not official.

Barangai officials said only authorized collectors are appointed from Zone 1 to Zone 7, and they issue receipts with the official logo and signatures of Barangay Pantal.

“Paalala lang po, please Lang, Kayong Magbaad” Pag Ang Binigai on Resibo, Valanga Ng Barangai logo, “said Barangai Julita Perez.

In order to prevent more inhabitants, Barangai reminded the public to check the availability of official certificates before paying.

“Mayroon Silang Id Na Sila’y Collectors,” Perez added.

Some residents have become more cautious.

“Pinagbigyan namin ‘yung mga nanningil. Allowed? Kilala ko naman’ yung mga nag-Iikot,” the resident said.

Barangai officials urged the residents to immediately report suspicious collectors so as not to be a victim of an illegal scheme.
