The Human Rights Body Consider a Complaint on Peter Datton because of Israel-Gaza’s comment

The Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) will consider a complaint against Peter Datton’s opposition leader, which accuses him of discriminating and instigating racial hatred due to public statements after attacking Hamas terrorist on October 7, 2023.

Sydney -based law firm is a group of complainants who claim that Mr Datton was engaged in racial hatred, citing 25 separate incidents.

A group of 10 complainants includes the prominent Palestinian-Australian Naser Maszha and Jewish Professor Peter Slesak.

The secretary of the opposition leader stated that Mr Datton knew about the complaint, and stated that he was lacking in authority.

“Like preliminary complaints filed by this firm against the Prime Minister (Anthony Albanes) and other last year, this also lacks confidence,” the Secretary said.

“Mr. Datton remains adamant in support of Jewish Australians who have faced enormous difficulties over the past 15 months after Hamas’s brutal attack on October 7”

It is clear that AHRC has officially accepted the complaint at the beginning of this month, which means that it will now evaluate whether the case can be resolved through reconciliation.

In a statement, Birchgrove Legal, Moutstafa Kheir, said his clients were “seriously concerned about” comments made by those who can be the next Prime Minister of Australia.

“In the current international legal climate, where Australia’s obligations are clear, these relentless human rights attacks go beyond reasonable discourse, and my clients demand better than our national leaders,” Mr Ker said.

One of the comments that the complainants were gathered since July last year, in which they claimed that Mr Datton suggested to elect Muslim political candidates among others independent, which would be a “catastrophe”.

“I think this is demonstrating that the Prime Minister, if he is in the minority government in the next term of parliament, he will include greens, he will include green clashes, he will include Muslim candidates from Western Sydney, it will be a disaster “, – said Mr Datton.

The complaint claims that Mr. Datton’s commentary influenced the Palestinian-Australian, Arab-Australian and Muslim-Australian complaints, “who believed that” Mr. Datton (was) depicting Palestinians and Muslims as less than human “.

“They felt dehumanized, essentialized and humiliated as” another “that should not and irrelevant for Australia,” the complaint said.

If this issue cannot be resolved through reconciliation, the complaint may be torn off by the commission, and the complainants may then be taken to the Federal Court.

In 2023, Birchgrove threatened legal actions against the Prime Minister and High Government Ministers on gas comments.
