NDC will not tolerate election intimidation – Ashanti Regional Chairman | Policy

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Augustus Andrews Nana Kwasi, says the party will not tolerate any form of intimidation before, during and after the December general elections.

Addressing a rally in Obuasi on Wednesday during the campaign tour of the Ashanti region of the NDC vice presidential candidate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the NDC Ashanti regional chairman said the party has a solid plan to secure its votes in the 2024 elections.

He therefore called on NDC members and supporters to turn up on election day and vote en masse for the NDC presidential candidate, Mr. John Dramani Mahama and the party’s parliamentary candidates.

Speaking on the abandoned development projects in the region, Nana Kwasi said the next NDC government would work with the traditional authorities to promote the development of the region.

He said women empowerment is also high on the agenda of the next NDC administration. Nana Kwasi added that the lofty plans of the NDC’s development plan for the Ashanti region can only be realized when the people of the region vote for the party.

He therefore called on the electorate to vote for Mr. Mahama en masse so that he can reboot the country, create jobs for the youth and empower women financially through the establishment of the Women Development Bank.
