Prichard police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 92-year-old man

PRICHARD, Alabama (WALA) – The Pritchard Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 92-year-old man suffering from Alzheimer’s disease/dementia who went missing on Wednesday, January 22nd.

When William Carter Jr. left his home in Prichard on Wednesday, he was driving his silver 2024 Toyota RAV4 to an unknown destination, police said. His son reported him missing Thursday after the car’s GPS tracker indicated he was in Evergreen, Alabama, authorities said.

Authorities said Carter suffers from Alzheimer’s disease/dementia and has previously traveled to other cities, including New Orleans and Biloxi, Miss.

Carter has a son in the Evergreen area and may have been on his way there, police said.
