A man died from his injuries at Dunfermline Recycling Center in Fife

A man died from his injuries at a recycling center in Fife.

Emergency services were called to Dunfermline Recycling Center at around 4.30pm on Wednesday after they received reports of an injured man.

Doctors pronounced the death of a 66-year-old man at the scene. Police Scotland confirmed that an investigation is ongoing and the Health and Safety Executive has been notified

A police spokesman said: “Police received reports of a man being stabbed at a premises north of Wellwood, Dunfermline, at around 4.30pm on Wednesday 30 October 2024.

“The ambulance arrived, but the 66-year-old man died at the scene.

“Enquiries are ongoing and the head of health and safety has been informed.”

Fife Council and the HSE have been approached for comment.
