Team “Kantara: Chapter 1” shoots a grand war for the film

Mumbai: The makers of the upcoming all-India film starring Rishabh Shetty Kantara: Chapter 1 are filming a grand war sequence that will enhance the cinematic experience offered by the film. Hombale Films assembled a huge team to bring the war story to life.

The posters of the film are enthralling the audience, so the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it grand.

According to an independent industry source, “Hombale Films is currently making a major war series for Kantara: Chapter 1. The production house works with a large team and several international specialists. It will be a grandiose war, the likes of which have not been seen before.”

Kantara: Chapter 1 set in the Kadamba period of Karnataka. The Kadambas were significant rulers of parts of Karnataka and played an important role in shaping the architecture and culture of the region. The Kadamba period is considered a golden era in Indian history, known for its opulence and enchanting beauty.

for Kantara: Chapter 1Rishabh Shetty studied at Kalaripayattu. Considered one of the oldest and most scientific martial arts in the world, Kalaripayattu originated in Kerala. The actor spent a whole year in purposeful training in this martial art to improve his form.

Earlier, Kantara introduced the audience to the Kola festival, also known as Bhuta Kola, Daiva Kola or Nemotsava. It is a ritual dance performance and ceremony to worship spirits and deities in the Tulu-speaking regions of India. The film showcased the world of the Kohli festival. In particular, the last 20 minutes of the original film were truly epic.

Kantara proved to be a major commercial success and became the second highest grossing Kannada film of all time KGF: Chapter 2which was released in the same year with a difference of several months.

It also became the fourth highest grossing film in India of 2022. The film was not only a favorite of the audience but also of the authorities as it was also screened at the 54th IFFI India Panorama where it won the Silver Peacock Special Jury Award.
