UP man accused of raping mother, arrested for sexually assaulting and killing pregnant goat: Report | Latest news from India

A man in Uttar Pradesh Mainpuripreviously accused of raping his mother, was arrested for sexually assaulting and killing a pregnant goat, Navbharat Times (NBT) This was reported on Tuesday with reference to police sources.

The incident took place in Azad Nagar area of ​​Kotwali police station, where the owner of the goat claimed that the animal was raped before it was killed. After the complaint, the police registered a case and arrested Manu Sagar.

In a shocking case of animal cruelty that took place in Mainpur’s Azad Nagar area, the accused, Manu Sagar, an electric rickshaw driver, was arrested for allegedly raping and then strangling a goat to death.

Authorities cited NBT reported that the dead goat was sent for a pathological examination.

Sagar is a drug addict and was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident, the report added.

Manu Sagar has a troubling history of criminal charges. He was previously accused of raping his mother and attempting to molest a female police officer, which led to his arrest. In connection with those previous crimes, he served a year and a half sentence.

Because of his disturbing behavior, Sagar’s family lives separately. His mother and blind father sought refuge in the ashram, highlighting the impact his actions had on their lives.

The owner of the goat, Sher Singh, said Navbharat Times about the incident: “We did not witness the event, but it is clear that something terrible happened. Our goat was three months pregnant and Manu was cruel to her.” Following Singh’s complaint, the police took swift action against Sagar.

An autopsy is currently being conducted on the goat, as the case is under investigation.

According to police reports, a 30-year-old man was arrested in Modinagar in Ghaziabad in August on charges of sexually assaulting and raping a dog. The suspect, identified as Surendra Kumar, was identified after a 1.32-minute video of the incident went viral on social media. A resident of Modinagar lodged a complaint with the police after identifying Surendra as the person in the footage. However, HT could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.

Following the complaint, authorities registered a first information report under Section 11 (cruelty to animals) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act at the Modinagar police station.
