Highlights: A man has been taken to hospital after a brutal attack at a Lifford home

Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were injured in a violent incident at a house in Conyberrow Road, Lifford.

One man was seriously injured and another less seriously injured in the home invasion this morning at around 10am.

One man (aged 20) was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast for treatment of serious injuries.

A second man (aged 60) was taken by ambulance to Letterkenny University Hospital for less serious injuries.

The house in question was surrounded by police.

Witnesses confirmed that a number of emergency services attended the scene, including EMS personnel and Gardai.

There are no reports of arrests in connection with the incident.

The police are calling on all witnesses to this incident to come forward.

“Anyone who may have CCTV footage (including CCTV) from Conyberrow Road, Lifford, between 10am and 11am is asked to provide this footage for Gardaí to investigate,” a spokesman said.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Letterkenny Garda Station on 074 9167100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.”
