How to safely roll back Windows 11 24H2 and go back to 23H2

Microsoft has released Windows 11 version 24H2 (Update 2024) for everyone and some users especially gamers have faced serious issues with the latest update. Some games and apps are unresponsive and crash on the 24H2 build. So, if you want to roll back Windows 11 24H2 and go back to 23H2, here is a detailed guide for you. How to go back to Windows 11 23H2 from Windows 11 24H2

While Microsoft allows users to roll back major feature updates seamlessly, you should do so within 10 days of the upgrade. This is because Windows 11 deletes the old build after 10 days to free up space.

Note that although this process does not affect your personal files, it is always recommended back up your important files. So, if you are within the 10-day window, follow the steps below to safely roll back Windows 11 24H2 to 23H2.

  • Open the Start menu and search for Recovery Options. Now open it.
