Dattatreya Society chairman Janardhan Salunkhe filed a complaint against Jamdar, saying he has been harassing the society since 2017. So much so that the former secretary of the society was forced to sell his apartment and leave due to constant harassment and threats from Jamdar.

According to the complaint, Jamdar used foul, obscene and abusive language against female residents and threatened them. Without the women’s consent, he clicked their photos and videos and uploaded them on social media. He threatened to send their husbands to jail and showed them obscene gestures during Diwali. He received ex-minister Kadam’s official letterhead on which he had written a complaint addressed to the DDR office, Tilak Road; Kadam’s forged signature; and submitted the same. He even froze the bank account of the society, due to which the residents had to suffer a lot. Jamdar often threatened the residents of the society with dire consequences, claiming that he had weapons. During the society meeting, he raised his voice saying that he would take cases against the residents to court if they oppose him during the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Due to constant harassment, developer Jayant Kulkarni, who is also a resident of the society, suffered a heart attack during the general meeting held on November 24, 2024 and died.
