The future of a WWE big name in the company is in doubt due to statements on social media

WWE stars mostly take to social media, especially when it comes to voicing their concerns about their role in the company. The last star to do so was Corey Graves, a longtime commentator for the company who was primarily seen on WWE SmackDown.
The commentator, unhappy with his situation after being moved to NXT, took to social media to express his frustration with his role in the company.

However, the posts have now been removed, but his promotion future at Stamford could be bleak following his outburst on a public platform.

What is the current situation with Corey Graves in WWE?

In 2023, Corey Graves was scheduled to appear on the SmackDown commentary team alongside Joe Tessitore. However, this later changed and Graves was moved to WWE NXT, with Wade Barrett replacing him on the Blue Brand.
Growing increasingly frustrated with his position at the company, Graves took to social media to vent, saying the following in a since-deleted post:
“Imagine that you are looking for your dream. Then you are told (without deciding) that you are no longer physically able to pursue your dream. Then you dedicate your life to something “adjacent to the dream” and become incredibly great at it. And then, when it comes time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, you’re told you’re not famous enough for your job. In case you were wondering where I’ve been.’

In the latest in the Corey Graves/WWE saga, Graves deletes tweets

Although he stepped down, the company was apparently not happy with his criticism and eventually replaced him with WWE Speed. Although he has been cut from the show for now, there are rumors that he will return to RAW or SmackDown at some point in the future, but the truth of those rumors is unknown at this time. Given his apparent ouster from Speed, it has also been speculated that he will be released from the company, but neither WWE nor Corey Graves have commented on the issue.

WWE Insider assesses the situation with Corey Graves

Popular wrestling insider Dave Meltzer addressed the issue in a recent issue Wrestling Observer Radio where did they say “I think it was a few weeks ago when Corey Graves found out that Wade Barrett was going to replace him on that show and he was unhappy. Now why do you go on Twitter and do all this? I can There are people who think they tried to fire him and so if he did try to fire them they’re probably not going to fire him think they want him to go to AEW if they do fire him.”
For fans of Corey Graves, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on the commentator’s future and what brand he eventually returns to if he’s still on the company’s roster.
