FD Man Arrested During Shots | News, Sports, Work

Fort Dodge police quickly arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting Tuesday morning.

Brandon R. Mothershed, 23, 1660 8 1/2 Ave. N., faces a charge of intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a felony, after Tuesday’s incident, according to police reports and court records.

According to the Fort Dodge Police Department, Mothershed was spotted in a vehicle Tuesday evening in the 2900 block of South Avenue. Officers conducted a high risk traffic stop and Mothershed was taken into custody without incident.

He made his first appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court on Wednesday morning. His preliminary hearing was scheduled for November 18.

The arrest follows an early morning shooting Tuesday in the 100 block of South 18th Street. No one was hurt.
