New Jersey security guard accused of adding bodily fluids to school lunches pleads guilty

The former guardian can spend at least 5 years in prison lewd acts that officials say he committed on the joband were captured on video.

Giovanni Impelizzeri, 27, pleaded guilty Monday to possessing and possessing child sexual abuse material.

Prehistory:

The guilty plea comes more than a year after Impellizzeri was arrested for adding biological fluids and cleaning products to school lunches at Elizabeth Moore School in Upper Deerfield.

Officials say he was recorded contaminating food and performing sexual acts with school supplies and kitchen utensils. These videos were then sent to an online chat group.

The investigation also revealed that Impellizzeri was in possession of child sexual abuse material.

He served as superintendent of the school district at the time, but was fired by the school board in November 2023.

Parents have spoken out since his arrest, expressing their disappointment at the school’s handling of the incident.

“He wanted to harm our children in one place, and that should be the safest place outside of our home,” Beans Pierce said.

The Impellizzeri were initially charged with aggravated battery, food adulteration, attempted endangerment and disorderly conduct, and possession of child sexual abuse material. He pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and possession of CSAM.

What’s next:

He could be sentenced to up to 5 years in state prison before being eligible for parole. His sentence is set for March 28.
