Police appeal after man assaulted at crash scene in Cookston

Police are appealing for information following a reported attack at the scene of a car crash in Kent.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after a collision between a white Ford Ranger and a white Audi A3 on Rochester Road in Cookston at 21:05 GMT on Saturday.

Following the incident, the ranger driver allegedly assaulted the man before hitting a waiting ambulance.

A 30-year-old man from Chatham was arrested and bailed pending further enquiries.

The passenger in the Audi was hospitalized with a shoulder injury, the police said.

Kent Police are appealing for anyone who saw the incident or the vehicle before the collision to get in touch.

Drivers and residents with private CCTV systems are also asked to check if they have relevant recordings.
