Details for the 12th annual State Walk have been announced, and the 30-day countdown begins

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – GoRockford is announcing details for the Midwest’s Best Holiday Festival, State Walk, including a new drone show.

The statewide walk kicks off the holiday season on November 30 for the 12th year in a row.

A press conference held at 2:00 p.m. on October 30 at 102 N. Main Street marked 30 days until the event.

The celebration includes a drone show, tree lighting, parade, fireworks, musical performances and a “small business Saturday” celebration.

“You can expect so much this year. All the fan favorites are back, but we also have a drone show, we have Santa coming back to take pictures with the kids, we have elevated music stages with bigger and better bands than ever before,” says Kristen Paul, executive deputy President at GoRockford. “So it’s just incredible to be a part of those family memories and family traditions.”

Paul says they always need volunteers before, during and after the event.
