Investigation into passport issue completed – FBC News

The investigation into claims of unauthorized issuance of passports to children of persons connected to allegations of human rights violations on Grace Road has been completed.

This investigation prompted Minister Pio Thikoduadua to step down from the portfolio to allow for an investigation.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka released the status of the investigation after appointing three new ministers last week, including Viliame Naupoto as the new immigration minister.

The Prime Minister says that the results of the investigation are now being forwarded to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for further evaluation.
