Free financial literacy help is available at Center Saint-Martin

Additional free assistance is available for those hoping to achieve their dream of owning a home in Erie.

Center St. Maarten has announced that it has hired its third nationally certified housing counselor.

A local Wegmans is hosting members of the Erie Otters team to promote the upcoming food

CEO David Gonzalez said the center is the only organization in the county to offer three counselors as part of its commitment to financial literacy.

“It really gives us more opportunities to access resources and provide quality programs for individuals. We believe that anyone can benefit from additional help managing their finances, and we also want to promote housing development in the region,” said Gonzalez.

Gonzalez said the goal is to have each of the consultants specialize in different areas, including foreclosure, home ownership and rental consulting.
