In a recent interview, Kunikaa Sadanand shared the details of her relationship with Sunil Sikand and the invaluable lessons she learned from Pran during her early years in the film industry. She said, “I got my film training from Pran Sahab because my first relationship was with Sunil Sikand, he has a son.” She remembered sitting with Pran in the evenings while he drank drinks and listening to his thoughts on the film industry. She said: “He told me to be on set on time. If he says 9 o’clock, then at 9 o’clock you should not leave the house. You have to get there with your makeup on at 9 o’clock.”

Sunil Sikand was a jealous guy

Kunikaa Sadanand also revealed that Sunil Sikand was a very jealous guy. She said, “Every time I was going to sign a film, he would ask if I was wearing clothes properly or not. It was visible… so he was like that.” She also revealed how he would make sure she was always well presented when she went out, even sharing a room with her and her hairdresser.

The actress recalled a horrifying incident at Mehboob Studios when a producer tried to flirt with her inappropriately. She said: “The producer put his hand on me and I was scared. I began to think that if he got angry, he would remove me from the film and I would be vilified. I called Pran Sahab’s son and he told me over the phone not to argue with him anymore. After that, people started to fear me, but later I realized that the rumor had spread and people thought I had a very hot-tempered boyfriend.”

Kunikaa Sadanand made her film debut with a horror film, Kabrastan in 1988. During her career, she appeared in about 110 films, often in negative or daring characters.
