Appeal after a 16-year-old boy was injured in a ‘targeted’ attack near Bath

Police are investigating after a 16-year-old boy was injured in a gang attack in a village near Bath and later found on the streets of south Bristol.

The victim was attacked outside the post office in Corston at around 10.30pm GMT on Friday, but police were not notified until 11pm GMT.

The boy, who is originally from Bath, was eventually found at 00:30 GMT on Saturday in Broomhill Road, Brislington, when he was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators are still working to establish the chain of events that led to the boy ending up in Bristol, a spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said.
