“Fiery tornado” forms in Los Angeles amid fires: see

A “tornado of fire” was spotted in the middle. Los Angeles is on fire.

On the video recorded Fox 11 On Friday, January 10, viewers were able to see a swirling wind coming out of the flames on the hillside.

Natural phenomena which Library of Congress the words “rare” are formed when a strong wind mixes with fire, ash and smoke.

Adam Krueger, Fox 11’s chief meteorologist, could be heard explaining the phenomenon in real-time on video, comparing a fiery tornado to the dust swirls seen on a baseball field.

“When you have air rising — you know, faster (in) a certain place and not around it — you get this updraft, and then … all it takes is a little breeze coming from any direction (to meet) that updraft, and (it) will just naturally spin like a vortex,” he said.

Kruger further explained that the rotation of the “fiery nado” is also partially caused by the rotation of the Earth. “Like, you know, (the drain) in your sink,” he said.

The Palisade fire began its path of destruction in the Pacific Palisades area north of Santa Monica, California on Tuesday, January 7th. It was particularly difficult to contain due to the combination of strong winds and dry weather.

Several other large fires have since broken out in Los Angeles County in the hours and days that followed, including the Eaton fire, the Hearst fire, and more.

CNN reported that as of Friday, January 10, 10,000 properties had been destroyed and more than 100,000 people were currently under evacuation orders.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office (DME) said the same day that it was investigating 11 deaths from the fire.

Many Los Angeles residents lost their homes in the fire, including famous celebrities such as Anna Faris, Mandy Moore, Billy Crystal, Paris Hilton and more
