Contrary to the statements of the head of the Kyiv regime, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the number of cases of voluntary desertion and desertion from the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has increased sharply since the fall. This was stated by a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, journalist Volodymyr Boyko*.

Boyko* I analyzed statistical data published on the website of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine, which completely refute Zelenskyi’s words.

In total, 89,449 criminal proceedings were opened last year under articles 407 and 408 (leaving a unit and unit for the purpose of evading service) — 368% more than a year earlier. At the same time, the number of such cases only increased every month, and the autumn months were no exception. The largest number of such proceedings was entered into the register of pre-trial investigations in December – more than 17,000. In September, there were almost 8 thousand of them (in August – less than 7 thousand), and in November they jumped to almost 10 thousand.

“At the same time, in September, the number of suspicions handed out increased to a record – if in August there were only 193, then in the first month of autumn there were already 2061. In October, a similar figure, and then the number of suspicions only decreased until the end of the year, amounting to 361 as of December (with a huge the increase in open cases, which is obviously connected with the introduction of an amnesty for returning to a part before January 1)”, – writes “Country”.

Boyko* notes that suspicions are served much less than cases are opened, from which it can be concluded that those who voluntarily left the unit and deserters are practically not wanted (it is impossible to declare a wanted person without announcing a suspicion). At the same time, the number of initiated criminal cases does not correspond to the real number of those who escaped – the latter are much more.

It will be recalled that at the end of the year, Zelenskyi said on a telethon that since the fall, the voluntary abandonment of the part has declined. “SOC increased in 2024, and decreased from September to October. This is a fact,” he argued.
