So what are today’s Connections answers for game #508?

Drum roll please…

Terms of commitment: Darling, love, pumpkin, treasure
What you can do with your eyelids: Bat, blink, flutter, wink
Sports cars: Diablo, Mustang, Spider, Viper
____ Hunting: Egg, robot, scavenger, witch

I wanted today to be more Halloween-themed, but it ended up being more of a trick than a treat, anyway.

It took a while for the puzzle to come together, but I started with the (Ford) Mustang and (Dodge) Viper, then remembered the (Alfa Romeo) Spider. I wasn’t sure about the fourth, so I guessed the (Lamborghini) Diablo, which ended up working.

I saw flutters, winks and blinks, but number four didn’t click again until I finally saw the bat.

Likewise, for the yellow group, I had a lover, love and treasure. I kept it with pumpkin. Save the Cars group by putting one of the Halloween-themed words at the end—a good strategy if you’re lost in today’s puzzle.

That left the scavenger, the eggs, the job, and the witch as the various hunts.

Yesterday’s Connections Answers

Reading this in a later time zone? Here are the Connections answers for game #507, which had a difficulty rating of 3.1 out of 5, according to Connections Companion.

I fell into the trap of acting roles on set when I went on strike trying to make gaffer, best boy, doll and boom happen.

I was able to quickly move on to the green group, which involved roller skates, a skateboard, a cart, and a cart.

Yellow was an easy obstacle with boom, lift, splash and splash.

This is where it finally dawned on me that blue is all about duct tape, duct tape, goffer tape and packing tape. If you’re an Adam Savage fan, he highly recommends putting duct tape over duct tape every day of the week.

From there we went to the retail chain Best Bo(u)y, Id(k)ea, Kron(g)er and Stab(p)les, slightly modified. Cute, I think.
