What did New Yorkers complain about the most in 2024?

New York is known as one of the most bustling cities in the world, and no matter where you go, you can’t escape the noise.

With more than 8 million people living in the city, challenges and complaints cannot be avoided.

What were New Yorkers complaining about in 2024?

The main non-emergency complaint of the city of 2024 was, you guessed it, noise.

“It’s crazy. As a New Yorker, you don’t have to worry about noise. We live in the busiest city. I’m on Long Island. I should complain,” New York resident told FOX 5 NY.

Why can’t New York escape the noise?

There is so much noise in the city, including the streets and sidewalks, cars and helicopters in the sky.

However, residential noise was the largest overall with more than 356,000 calls.

“I feel like the recent people just moved here because they’re not used to it like we are,” said another New Yorker.

The other 311 complaints included people urinating in public, reports of illegal animals being kept as pets and calls asking for “suspicious neighbors.”

However, in 2024, noise, almost apart from the city’s infrastructure, caused the most waves in the city.
