Shots were fired in a house near the Poddar school, the residents were frightened

Nashik: The Chalisgaon City Police on Wednesday, they filed a report against unknown motorcycle drivers for shooting bullets into the air and intimidating the residents of a house located near the street. Piddar school late Tuesday night. Men on motorcycles allegedly also threw stones at the house.
While investigating the case, the police searched another house in the neighborhood and found ammunition and sharp weapons.
“Several people pelted the house with stones, insulted the residents and shot in the air. The residents contacted the police and our teams arrived on the spot to find out the circumstances. We found one live ammunition and three spent cartridges on the spot. Subsequently, the case was registered as criminal intimidation, damage to property, etc., and sections of the Arms Act,” said a police officer.
The police officer added that the house attacked belongs to one Sumit Bhosale, an opponent Balu More (who was killed in February 2024 after being shot by six men). The attackers fired eight bullets into Mor.
Police suspect Wednesday’s incident to be the result of a feud between Bhosale and More’s sons. Therefore, the police went to Mora’s residence, located about a kilometer away, to conduct a search. In the presence of Balu Mor’s elder son, Sanket, the police recovered six cartridges as well as several sharp weapons.
Sanket More was arrested by the police under the Arms Act for possession of ammunition. Officers said it was unclear who was involved in the alleged shooting and they were investigating.
