“Wheel of Fortune” viewers complain a lot about the show

Some Wheel of Fortune viewers have grown increasingly frustrated with the show’s fast-paced editing, which they claim doesn’t give them enough time to focus on the puzzles and play at home.

The complaint was first filed by the user at in Wheel of Fortune Reddit forumwho created a topic called “Transition from the puzzle board”.

In the thread, a user wrote: “Does it drive anyone crazy how often they give up on a puzzle?? I don’t know the solution, but it makes it impossible to solve the puzzle with the amount they exchange… Am I the only one like this?”

After Vanna White reveals the letters of the puzzle, the camera tends to switch back and forth between the puzzle board and the host Ryan Seacrest and contestants. A Reddit user argued that the puzzle should stay on screen longer so viewers can solve it at home.

Others agreed, with one commenter writing: “I’ve been complaining about this for years…show the damn puzzle longer!”

Another added: “100% I said that too. Half the fun is playing together!”

“Yes. It’s actually been that way for a while. I don’t know why they crop so much,” said one user.

“Sometimes I use my DVR for pause. They don’t even show the board long enough for Vanna to turn over some of the letters sometimes,” added another.

Another wrote: “I feel like this season has been particularly bad. You are not alone!!!”

“YES! It’s driving me crazy!” one fan agreed, while another simply added: “Yeah I hate it!!!!”

“Sometimes a player turns around, guesses a letter and makes a mistake. The camera never shows the board. It drives me crazy. It’s up to the director, I guess?” said another.

Others offered suggestions for solutions, including keeping the puzzle board on-screen in a picture-in-picture window.

“They should always keep it that way, I hate it when they switch gears. Maybe a PIP?” one user commented.

Another agreed, adding: “Wouldn’t mind if they kept showing the puzzle in a PIP on screen (along the letter board) no matter where the game edit goes.”

“It would have been nice if they showed the board in the bottom corner when they cut,” said another.

However, some felt the puzzles were shown long enough for fans at home to understand, with one Reddit user saying, “Damn, how long do you have to look at a puzzle?”

“While the wheel is spinning and the contestant is calling the letter, you can see the puzzle board. If you can’t figure it out eventually, you’re not going to,” said another.

In a recent behind-the-scenes videoSeacrest congratulated the show’s staff, including the production crew, cameramen, audience coordinator and art department.
