A record number of young people apply to participate in the plenary sessions of the Congress

Council of Europe Congress of local and regional authorities received a huge response to the appeal of young people from all member countries of the organization to take part in its 2025 competition. program of youth delegates.

By the Dec. 31 deadline, 445 applications were received from 45 member states, a new record for the level of interest in the program, which is part of Congress’s Rejuvenation of Politics initiative. One young person between the ages of 18 and 30 from each of the 46 member states of the Council of Europe will be invited by the Congress to take an active role as a youth delegate in the plenary sessions in March and October 2025, as well as to develop their own mass projects at home.
