Suspect in Hampton Spa murders found dead in Wayne County

A Wayne County man suspected of killing himself at an upscale Hamptons spa Monday took his own life just a day later, law enforcement officials said.

Thomas Gannon, 56, of 19 Hidden Brook Drive, Berlin, was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head Tuesday after 10 p.m. at his home, Wayne County Coroner Edward Howell said.

Gannon was a suspect in the death of Sabina Rosas, a Brooklyn artist who was found murdered at an upscale Hamptons spa in Suffolk County, New York, police said.

A spa employee found Rosas dead in a guest room around 12:30 a.m. Monday, police said.

They were staying at the posh Shou Sugi Ban House in Water Mile. According to the New York Daily News, Gannon was spotted leaving the spa alone. Before her death, Rosas had planned to travel to Portugal next month to attend her first art residency, according to the report.

She raised $1,520 for the trip, which she said was timed for her 33rd birthday in a GoFundMe post.

Gannon has donated $1,000 to the effort, according to a GoFundMe site.

An autopsy is scheduled.
