Wonder’s flagship, Wonder Studio, has already made waves in the enabling technology industry easily create animated CG characters on top of live action footage. But this technology goes even further.

What is noteworthy about the video-to-3D scene technology is its ability to shoot and edit sequences with multiple cuts and different frames, and then use AI to reconstruct the scene in 3D space. In addition, it matches the position and movement of each camera with the characters and the environment.

This essentially creates a virtual representation of an artist’s live-action scene, containing all camera settings and character body and face animation in a single 3D scene with fully editable elements (animation, character, environment, lighting and camera tracking data) in your preferred software . , such as Maya, Blender, or Unreal.

“It’s a common misconception that AI is a one-click solution, but we know that’s not the case,” said Nikola Todorovic, co-founder of Wonder Dynamics. “That’s why with the launch of the Wonder Animation Beta, we’re focused on bringing the artist one step closer to creating fully animated films, while providing full creative control. Unlike the black-box approach of most current generative AI tools on the market, we empower artists to shape their vision rather than simply rely on automated results.”

Wonder Dynamics was founded in 2017 and acquired by Autodesk in May, expanding the company’s reach and offering more access to its technology for studio-level filmmaking. VFX and CGI that can be done on an indie budget.
