Hansika Motwani and her family were hit with an FIR by her sister-in-law. What are the charges?

Actress Hansika Motwani has hit the headlines again, this time due to disturbing allegations about her family. Her brother Prashant Motwani, who is married to Muskan’s TV actress Nancy James, was accused of domestic violence by Muskan. The complaint also alleges the involvement of Hansika and their mother Mona Motwani in the case.

What are the charges?

According to A Times of India Report, Muskan Nancy James lodged an FIR against Prashant, Hansika and Mona Motwani at the Amboli police station in Mumbai. The charges include sections 498-A (abuse of a woman by her husband or relatives), 323 (intentionally causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to cause disturbance of peace), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of the Penal Code of India

Muskan alleged that Hansika and Mona often interfered in her marriage, contributing to its breakdown. She also accused Prashant of domestic abuse, which she claims led to her developing Bell’s palsy, a condition that causes partial paralysis of the face. She also accused them of demanding expensive gifts, money and engaging in property fraud.

Muskan further alleged that Motwani’s family, including Hansika, demanded expensive gifts and money from her and was involved in property fraud.

Speaking to ETimes, Muskan confirmed that she has filed a lawsuit against her husband and his family. However, she refused to specify the details, referring to the court proceedings. “I have now applied for legal assistance. At the moment, I have no right to comment further,” she said.

For those unfamiliar, Muskan married Prashant in 2020, but the couple has been living separately since 2022. Muskan has now decided to address the issues she faced during their marriage by bringing her bitter experience to light. As the case has unfolded, the allegations have garnered a lot of attention, with fans and followers awaiting further developments in this controversial case involving the Motwani family. While Hansika is yet to respond to the claims, Prashant told TOI, “I am not in the country and I don’t know what you are talking about.”
