A woman accused in a fatal hit-and-run case has reached a plea deal

POLSON — Plea agreement reached in case of woman accused of beating and murder Micah Westwolf on US Highway 93 in Arles in March 2023.

Sunny Katherine White has been charged with five counts of aggravated vehicular homicide in Westwolf’s death.

White pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and “incident involving another person” during a court appearance Wednesday in Polson.

As part of the plea agreement, two counts of felony child endangerment and one count of possession of dangerous drugs were dismissed.

White had he did not admit his guilt earlier on all five charges against her.

A sentencing date for White has not yet been set, though it is expected to take place in early 2025.

Westwolf, a 22-year-old Native woman, was walking home on Highway 93 near White Coyote Road when she was struck and killed by a car driven by White.
