In the final 45-minute episode, we learned that Kat’s late father Clint was a corrupt cop who was hiding a secret novel with her gay lover Parker (Cyril Nori).

One of his daughter’s friends, Aqua (Mary Malone), eventually spots the pair enjoying themselves outside, and Clint heads over to her house to warn her to keep her mouth shut.

He begs Aqua not to talk about Kat, but the conversation ends up being pretty heated, and then he attacks Aqua, who calls Kat’s boyfriend Josh for help. Josh then walks in and sees Clint clutching a knife, and while trying to get the weapon from him, he accidentally stabs his father-in-law to death.

Clint’s former police partner, Stagger (Richard Armitage), then drops in, and the trio vows to cover up the murder and never reveal the truth to Kat.

At one point, the cop finally seemed to get her happy ending, as she got back with Josh after 11 years apart and had some closure about her dad’s death.

But then she is informed that the fingerprint of her elusive soul mate was found on the murder weapon – and her world collapses again. Josh finally confesses what exactly happened and Kat sits in shock with tears streaming down her face.

Terrible, full of stupid plot holes and an unsatisfying ending,” while a fourth commented: “I loved I miss you but I think the last episode contains too much.
