According to reports, the information that Nayanthara is being sued by the makers of Chandramukhi was shared by actor Chitra Lakshman on his YouTube channel. According to Lakshman, the makers of Chandramukhi were unhappy with the inclusion of certain scenes from their film in the Netflix documentary. However, according to a report in Times Of India, the makers of Chandramukhi denied such reports and said that they have not filed any case against Nayanthara. Earlier, actor-producer Dhanush sent a formal notice to Nayanthara and demanded Rs 10 crore for allegedly using a three-second clip of BTS from the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.
