Trump Claims Pope Is ‘Cheating’, Sues Bucks County – NBC10 Philadelphia

The presidential ballots have yet to be counted or even opened by Pennsylvania officials.

But former president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is already claiming that Pennsylvania is “cheating” in some undisclosed way.

On his social media platform Truth Social, Trump posted Wednesday morning that “Pennsylvania is cheating and getting caught on a scale rarely seen before.”

In the post, Trump does not indicate what specifically he accuses the state of cheating.

His campaign sued Bucks County over claims of voter intimidation and long lines as voters gathered to receive mail-in ballots on the last day they could request them, Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024.

At a rally in Allentown on Tuesday, Michael Whatley, chairman of the Republican National Committee, told the crowd that he was “proud to announce” that the lawsuit had been filed.

“I’m proud to tell you that the Trump-Vance campaign just filed a huge lawsuit against Bucks County for rejecting our voters,” he said.

The Trump-Vance campaign did not identify any specific incidents where voters were denied or prevented from receiving mail-in ballots, although Bucks County officials noted there were stories on social media that people were having trouble receiving mail-in ballots until Tuesday. Deadline until 17:00.

Officials have posted information on social media about how voters who are experiencing problems can receive ballots by mail.

Bucks County officials told NBC10 Wednesday morning that they are aware of the lawsuit but have no comment on any pending litigation.

In Lehigh County, due to traffic congestion and delays caused by Trump’s visit to Allentown on Tuesday, election officials have extended mail-in voting until 5 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2024.

Representatives for the state elections office and the Pennsylvania governor’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Trump’s unspecified statements.
