“Ok, crazy story time: bad ball hits our end, people fight, it’s chaos and it ends up literally right next to my boot,” Ginny wrote. “I picked it up. Hooray! My first World Series game and I caught a foul ball! Then I realize that the row in front of us is chaos; it turns out that the ball ricocheted away from the poor woman’s face.

“It hit her in the eye, it’s bent and completely swollen and bleeding profusely and she can’t get up. Luckily the paramedics came to carry her out. I managed to get the ball and then I handed it to her on the way out.

“If she may have broken a bone in her face, she deserves it more than I do. I didn’t catch her name, but if you see that hope, you get better and you’re on the road to recovery.”
