FOX Sports analyst apologizes to Jalen Hurts after Eagles win against Bengals

Brutal honesty here… It doesn’t matter how many times we see Chase Daniel. It doesn’t matter when we see him. We always seem to forget that he played for the Philadelphia Eagles.

have you seen it That feeling you just had (we know because we’ve had it too). tell the truth It came out of you too.

Daniel was the understudy in 2016, the first Carson Wentz in the City of Brotherly Love. He also played for Philly four times during his career with the Saints, Chiefs, Bears and Chargers.

Well, he didn’t really play. He was on their lists. You know what we mean. He had five special teams snaps in 2012. He’s now a FOX Sports analyst who has been a bit critical of Jalen Hurts, but to his credit, he recently apologized to Philly’s QB1.

Insert a pin there. We’ll be back in a second. We have to set this up with a quick ad break.

If you happened to be watching football or just tuned in to see the Birds in Week 8, you’re probably not a die-hard Eagles fan, but if that’s the case for you, here’s what you missed.

Philly went to Brazil to play soccer and won. Yes, we mean Brazil… It was up and down for a while after that.

A Week 2 collapse against the Atlanta Falcons preceded a rally in New Orleans against the Saints. In Week 4 against the Buccaneers, there was an ass-kicking.

Philly took a week off in Week 5, barely surviving the Cleveland Browns in Week 6. Then they turned into the team we thought we’d see all season.

Blowout wins against the New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals seemed to steady the ship a bit. It also seems like some Jalen Hurts detractors are coming.

This brings us back to the aforementioned Mr. Daniel.

After a career as a journeyman, Chase Daniel now works as an analyst for FOX Sports. Like most Eagles watchers, he had a lot to say about Jalen Hurts while he was struggling (and most of it wasn’t flattering).

On Oct. 25, he discussed Jalen Hurts’ “inconsistency” on FS1’s wildly popular show, Institution. four days later after Philly’s QB1 had a masterful performancehe came back to apologize.

Here’s a little video.

We’ll agree with Seth here. It’s nice to see a man admit when he’s wrong. Jalen has the toughest position in sports. There will be good days and bad days. We could stress ourselves out by dissecting every roll, or we could state the obvious.

Jalen Hurts is a good defender. He is still investigating another crime. He is still learning to play his position.
