Rochester man accused of assaulting minor in portable toilet at park – Post Bulletin

ROCHESTER. A Rochester man is accused of assaulting a minor in a portable toilet at Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, according to court documents.

Dante Terrell Cooper, 30, is charged with first-degree sexual intercourse by penetration with coercion and two counts of third-degree sexual intercourse by penetration.

Cooper’s first appearance is scheduled for March.

According to the complaint, Rochester police investigated a child protective services report on Oct. 14, 2024. The report stated that a minor under the age of 16 received a sexually explicit photograph from a male family member. The minor said she thought it was an accident.

The juvenile then said she had been at the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park in Rochester over the summer with the two children she was babysitting, the complaint said. After leaving the park, she had to go back to get her cell phone. After she got it, she decided to walk on the sidewalk instead of chopping down trees because her phone was dead.

Two men approached and grabbed her, the statement said. She told police she knew one of them was called “Pat” because he played basketball with her brother.

According to the statement, one of the men grabbed her by the legs and the other grabbed her by the head. They took her to a portable toilet, assaulted her and then knocked over the portable toilet before leaving, the complaint said.

A witness later identified “Pat” as Cooper. Earlier, the juvenile told the police that he had a distinctive tattoo on his forearm, which the witness said was in memory of someone.

On November 12, 2024, the police conducted a photo shoot with a minor. She recognized a photo of Cooper as the man who attacked her.
