Jake Wallman’s 3-pointer helps the Sharks lead the Kings.

Jake Wallman had a goal and two assists to help the San Jose Sharks win their second straight 4-2 against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday night.

Vollman recorded three points for the second straight game. Fabian Zetterlund, Tyler Toffoli and William Eklund also scored and Vitek Vanecek made 26 saves for San Jose, which started 0-7-2 before winning back-to-back games.

Akil Thomas and Alex Laferriere scored and David Rittich made 17 saves for the Kings, who have won two straight and four of five.

After the two teams combined for two goals at 46:25 of the first period, they scored three goals in 4:37 of the third period.

First, the Sharks took a 2-1 lead at 6:25.

Wallman started the game when he threw a pass out of his own zone to Alexander Wennberg, who made a touchdown pass to Zetterlund, who made a quick run through the neutral zone. He pounced on Rittich before scoring with a wrist shot from the top of the right circle.

The Kings came right back to tie the score at 2-2 at 8:52.

Warren Fegele won the puck in the corner of the Sharks’ zone, then made a no-look pass to Laferriere, who scored with a shot into the net.

San Jose went back ahead 3-2 at 11:02 when Wallman knocked down a glove shot just beyond the Los Angeles blue line. He found Toffoli in front of the net and scored from close range.

Eklund sealed the win with an empty net goal with 38 seconds remaining.

The Sharks scored first after Karl Grundström won a throw-in in the Los Angeles zone and Niko Sturm passed to Vollman on the left. At the 2:20 mark of the second period, Wollman drove to the center and then fired a shot past Rittich for a 1-0 lead.

The Kings answered quickly when defenseman Brandt Clark slapped a shot above the right circle. The puck hit Vanecek in the chest and bounced over his head, hitting the crease.

Thomas, who had been healthy through the first nine games of the season, was able to tip the puck over the goal line to tie the game at 1-1 with 3:18 left.
