Two teenagers were detained for assault during the shooting in Freedom Park

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two teenagers were arrested on suspicion of assault and weapons charges after a shooting at Liberty Park on Brimhall Road on Saturday, according to police.

Officials with the Bakersfield Police Department said officers were dispatched to Liberty Park for a report of a shooting Saturday around 11:20 p.m.

When police arrived, two adults were suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities say their injuries were minor and they were uncooperative with police during the incident.

According to police, the investigation led to the arrest of two teenagers who were students at Stockdale High School.
