It’s enough to make you homesick.

On Oct. 20, teenager Max Calhoun can be seen on a surveillance camera entering a Muncie home after being dropped off by his friend’s father, Justin Oliver, vice principal of Muncie Central High School. according to Fox 59.

The boy quickly turns his tail and runs as the dog starts barking at him, jumping over the fence on the side of the sidewalk and rushing to Oliver’s aid.

The footage then shows a Marine Corps veteran running up to the door with a gun and entering.

“Gay!” he can be heard saying firmly as he enters. “You will be shot!”

The man at home was identified by police as Kenneth Gregory Quilaton, who told Oliver not to shoot him: “I’m not dangerous,” the newspaper reported.

“I said, ‘Well, you’re robbing my friend’s house, so don’t tell me you’re not dangerous,'” the 33-year-old burglar recalled.

Quilaton fell out of the attic, showered, ate pizza rolls and fed his dog while camping in an empty house, Max’s mother, Ashley Calhoun, told Storyful.

He was also defecating in a decorative container, “despite the presence of multiple toilets,” the puzzled homeowner said.

The alleged intruder “apparently canvassed” the home for several days to make sure the family was indeed on vacation after he met with her husband, Rob, to discuss an item he was putting up for sale, Calhoun said.

“He’s like, ‘I can’t even believe it. I just met this guy in passing. We talked about an item I had that really interested him. I told him I didn’t really have time to look for him, he was in our attic. I leave for two weeks on Wednesday,” Calhoun told Storyful.

Once inside, Quilaton was allegedly looking for an item in the attic “and fell through the attic into my garage, leaving a giant hole in the ceiling and a mess,” she said.

“So there is a huge lesson for all listeners. “Just don’t tell anyone you’re leaving town,” Calhoun pleaded.

When Quilaton was arrested, he offered officers $100 to release him, which earned him bribery charges in addition to burglary and disorderly conduct charges, according to court documents seen by Fox59.
