Ripon’s former fire chief pleaded guilty to using the department’s credit card for personal reasons

A former Ripon fire chief accused of using the department’s credit card for personal use was fined Monday in Fond du Lac court.

Timothy Saul pleaded guilty Monday to three counts of fraudulent use of a credit card. He will now have 60 days to pay a $3,000 fine for using the card.

Saul faced multiple charges after a criminal complaint alleged he used a fire department credit card for bills, baseball games and hotel stays.

The balance on the card at one point was $36,000.
