Gavin and Stacey All fans seem to have the same complaint after noticing that the main character was absent from key moments in the finale.

It Christmas Day saw one of Great Britain the most beloved comedies show the last episode, indeed the end of an era. And we’re still not over it.

Gathering 12.3 million viewers, Gavin and Stacey: Final finally (finally) saw the denouement of the real show love story.

We’re talking, of course, about the moment Smithy and Nessa were finally able to fully admit their feelings for each other after 17 years of will they/won’t they moments.

But it was worth it to see the couple finally get married in front of their family friends group photo together.

However, viewers were a little confused to notice that the main character was missing from the final scene.

Keen onlookers noticed that baby Neil was in attendance to watch his mum and dad exchange vows, and the latest photo is likely one last nod to the characters we’ve all grown to love over the years.
