Fatal accident in New York: two teenagers killed after crash with pickup truck on Route 52 in Sullivan County, police say

SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. (WABC) — Two teenagers were killed in a car crash Wednesday night in Sullivan County, police said.

It happened around 8 p.m. on Route 52 in Svoboda.

Police say two teenagers were riding in a car when they collided with a pickup truck on the road.

The driver of the car, 17-year-old Hannah Reggio, died after being taken to Westchester Medical Center.

Joseph Young, 15, who was a passenger, died at Garnet Catskill Hospital, police said.

The 57-year-old driver of the pickup was treated and released from the hospital.

The authorities are trying to establish what led to the disaster.
