The owner of the pub, the manager was convicted for obstructing the police

The Yerawada police have arrested the owner and manager of a popular bar-hotel for threatening policemen on duty and keeping the pub open past midnight. According to the police, during the raid, the establishment was open until two o’clock in the morning. The accused allegedly told the police that they were running the pub on the orders of the Pune Police Commissioner, according to the complaint. Constable Mahesh Baburao Lamkhede, 37, filed a police complaint under Sections 221, 223 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 33 read with 131 of the Maharashtra Police Act.
