Regulate the services of bus drivers, Pb conductors

Chandigarh: The Punjab Govt The Punjab Transport Minister has said that he has decided to prepare a case for regularization of the services of his bus drivers and conductors so that it can be submitted to the Cabinet for approval. Lajit Singh Bhullar on Tuesday
After a meeting with representatives of Punjab Roadways/PUNBUS and PRTC and Punjab Roadways Transport Workers Union (PUNBUS), the minister directed the officials to develop a policy for outsourcing to contract workers and prepare a special case for legalization contractors. Bhullar also directed the officials to take up cases related to drivers and conductors facing departmental problems.
The demand for a 5% annual salary increase for new drivers and conductors was also discussed. Bhullar directed the officials to immediately formulate an SOP on the issue. tnn
