Sparsha Darshan at Srisailam will be discontinued on January 1

Anticipating the heavy rush on January 1, 2025, the Srisailam temple authorities have decided to stop the ‘Sparsha Darshan’ of Lord Mallikarjuna on that day. A large number of devotees are expected to visit Srisailam on this day as it is an optional holiday and also the first day of the New Year.

Executive officer of the temple M. Srinivasa Rao said that only ‘Alankar Darshan’ would be allowed on the day so that the devotees in the Sarva Darshan queues could get darshan as soon as possible. Similarly ‘Arjita Garbhalaya’ ‘Abhishekam’ and ‘Arjita Samuhika Abhishekams’ will be stopped on the same day.

The temple management has also decided to stop Udaya Asthaman Seva, Pratahkala Seva and Pradoshakala Seva. The leadership of the temple will provide believers in line with drinking water and snacks. Annaprasad will be served at the Annaprasada complex from 10:30 am and laddu prasad will be available at the sales counters.
